Gallery Photo Post: We are grateful for the thoughtful support of Cindy Lee and theWags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation for providing a grant to pay for emergency medical care for homeless pets. Nikko, a 4-year-old German Shepherd cross, was transferred into our care from a rural New Mexican shelter with evidence that he had led a hard life. He arrived bearing old scars, new lacerations, infected teeth and couldn’t use his front, right leg. X-rays were taken and it was discovered that his leg was broken and the elbow was dislocated. Thanks to the Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation funding, Nikko received the necessary surgeries to set his leg and extract his teeth. He underwent physical therapy and healed comfortably in a Foster Care home. Nikko was adopted by friends of his foster family and happily spends his days playing with their other dog. Nikko would like to share an enthusiastic tail wag with the Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation for funding his extraordinary care and giving him a second chance!
