Owl Rescue

Over the past few weeks many owls have come into our hospital. The shift in daylight hours has more owls hunting when people are commuting. When owls are fixated on their prey, car strikes are common. It was a happy ending for these two, as they were released today! A Northern Saw-whet and a Northern Pygmy Owl were both treated for head trauma and minor injuries. A big Thank You to the Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation for their contribution and continued support of our efforts. Release of our patients back to the wild is our mission and donations like this make it possible!
