Snapple

Meet Snapple, a precious miniature horse whose story began when she came to us from a private owner who could no longer provide for her care. During her initial intake examination, our dedicated veterinarian, Dr. Connally, diagnosed Snapple with chronic Laminitis. Both of her front feet exhibited mild coffin bone rotation, a characteristic sign of Laminitis—a condition involving damage and inflammation of the tissue between the hoof and the underlying coffin bone. To alleviate her discomfort, Dr. Connally promptly addressed Snapple’s severely overgrown hooves through a therapeutic trim. This not only helped alleviate her pain but also enabled her to stand correctly on all her hooves. Thanks to the invaluable support of the Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation, Snapple has been making remarkable strides in her recovery. Weekly veterinary check-ins and recurring hoof trims have played a crucial role in her transformation. With a renewed pep in her step, she is steadily progressing on the path to finding her forever home!
