This Northern Saw-whet owl at Sarvey Wildlife Rescue was found in the road, likely struck by a vehicle. He is recovering from head trauma but has no other significant injuries. The Great Horned was stuck in a barbed wire fence and is now recovering from lacerations and swelling to one wing. Both are expected to fully recover and be released. Thank you to Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation for their recent donation supporting our medical efforts to save patients like these owls. We have exceeded our patient totals by 400 this year compared to the same time last year. Over 3000 patients this year and we aren’t done yet!
