This is Poseidon, a 2-4 day old Pacific harbor seal, during his initial exam upon arrival here at the Northcoast Marine Mammal Center. He was abandoned by his mother on Samoa Beach in Humboldt County, likely because of the many people and dogs in the area. Thank you to the Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation for providing the life saving medical care he needs. Thanks to Wags and Menace, he will get a second chance at life in the wild.
