Splits

Splits arrived here at Journey Home as a stray, a good Samaritan found her on the road and was worried she’d been hit by a car and couldn’t walk. When she first arrived she was a spitfire and wouldn’t let us touch her, but it did seem like her back legs were off. After a couple days of feeding and earning her trust, we were able to finally do an exam.  She had some weakness in her hind legs, but no obvious injury/ fractures. She also had some bruising on her abdomen suggesting blunt force trauma. X-rays showed no evidence of fractures. After receiving much-needed supportive care, and medication our vet staff soon had her on the mend. After her exam and medication, she quickly warmed up to us and is the most loving little cat. Now she is all healed, spayed, and has found her forever home!
