In addition to the significant increase in seabird patients at our facility, we are also still treating a bunch of long-term care patients, including this Nēnē (Hawaiian Goose) that is recovering from wing surgery. Her friend in the background is recovering from surgery too. A special mahalo to our long-time friends at the Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation, who have provided grant support for our emergency medical services throughout the years, and multiple times this year alone!
