Look who is pretty in pink!. This is the little female puppy that was rescued (along with her two brothers) from a remote area along the Mississippi River, where they had been abandoned. They were all three malnourished but she also had a badly broken femur that required surgery. Thanks to a generous donation by Cindy Lee and the Wags and Menace Makes a Difference Foundation, she was able to have the surgery on Monday and should recover fully. We are so lucky to have a partner like them that makes it possible for DHS to afford this life saving care.
